Renewable Energy Program

Power4Schools, ENGIE Resources and Econergy are helping school districts reduce their energy costs and when ready, transition to cheaper, greener, renewable energy. The program now offers three renewable energy options designed to reduce your energy cost.

Off-Site Solar or Wind Power:
For districts that want to immediately make the strongest possible sustainability statements, the ENGIE Resources PortfolioRE is a renewable energy supply solution that provides a direct physical connection between a school district and Off-Site wind- or solar-generating assets.

Onsite Solar:
On-site rooftop or ground-mount solar generation equipment can significantly reduce district energy costs.  Depending on the district site and electricity usage, saving can range from 15% to 30%.

Smart Solar (solar+storage):
On-site solar generation partially offsets energy costs while the sun is shining.  Smart Solar combines battery storage and software optimization, to achieve a much greater reduction in energy costs.  Smart Solar stores excess electricity for use when the sun isn’t shining.  Smart Solar can also release excess stored electricity into the grid when favorable prices exist. Smart Solar also manages demand and reduces traditional electricity peak load capacity charges.
